Re: Vegas tournaments and best structures

[ QUOTE ] For your bigger buy-in event, you MUST play the Wynn tournament. They have $300 on Tue and Thur and a $500 on Fri. It is the best structure you will find in town. 3000 Starting Chips 25/50 First Level 45 Minute Rounds Cool Chips [/ QUOTE ] This is EXACTLY the kind of info I'm looking for. And, I assume, you believe this is a better buy than the Bellagio $500? Great stuff, man. [/ QUOTE ] Yes, Bellagio is 2K starting chips with 40 minute levels. The competition is about the same at each. I played in 2 Wynn tournies and won one of them and bubbled the other. Also, the chips are no where near as cool. |

Re: Vegas tournaments and best structures
The 11am MGM doesn't have a great structure, but it's definitely a soft field with a good payout. $50+15, usually get around 100 entrants, top 6 get paid.
From what I recall, the structure is: ~1200 Starting Chips 25/25 First Level 20 Minute Rounds It's also a much nicer place to sit for 3 hours than the Luxor or others at that end of the strip. |

What are the typical payouts of the Wynn Thurs tourni? Amounts and depth please? Thanks [/ QUOTE ] If there are more than 50 people, they pay 9 spots. If there are less, they pay 5 spots. They may have updated this since last time I played, but I think this is still correct. |

What are the typical payouts of the Wynn Thurs tourni? Amounts and depth please? Thanks [/ QUOTE ] I played in the Wynn tournament last Tuesday and the payout is still the same. Top 9 get paid because they usually get around 100 players. Also they are now offering the same tournament on Wednesday. So the new schedule is Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday $300+30 at Noon and on Friday its $500+40 at Noon. |
