Same 25/50 50 game, no read on villian. I have been playing aggressivley, i think people are taking notice. We're 4 or 5 handed, villian opens for 175 with AQ of spades, i call and the SB calls. The flop is 772 with 2 spades. SB checks, villian bets 450, i call, SB folds. Turn is an offsuit 3. Villian checks, i bet 1300, he pauses for a while and calls. River is a low brick, we both have about 4k left. In the party 2K games, i pot or shove this river most of the time, but i fear that players at this level might be more prone to making the tough river calls with 66, 88, 99, TT here. Villian checks, and i check behind. Good or scared?

Why not push this flop? Flushes aren't so deceptive when you check/call out of the blinds.

With no read on villian it is extremely difficult to say one way or the other.
One thing that is certain (I'm sure you are already aware of this) is if you want to win this pot you need to bet that river the majority of the time. Soooo... ..."Good"...likely (if you want to limit your losses) ..."or scared" ...somewhat (if you believe villian puts you on a real hand) -M |
