3-betting preflop is lame. You don't have much of a pot equity edge. And, really, in a 4-way pot with 77, it's to your advantage to let the guy on your right have the lead, so that you can fold the bad flops and force the field to call two bets cold on good flops.
This is actually a pretty good flop for you, all things considered. Your bet is clear-cut - as is your turn bet. You might very well have the best hand on the turn, and even if you don't you have outs. And the river raise looks good too. You're folding to a 3-bet, right? Will |

I'm not sure I'd call 3-betting preflop "lame" since I think it's relatively close in a SH game, but I agree a call is better for the reasons you outlined.
