Re: Should I wear sunglasses and baseball cap to a major tournament?
[ QUOTE ]
I have done VERY well at the local Dayton, Ohio charity events by using the "are you stupid?" look constantly. Basically after every bet I give off a "do you really want to call me with that crap?" look and it seems to work well on the young and old. Plus they are full of bigger donkeys than me!! [/ QUOTE ] How do you find local charity events? |

You start with 60 BB as opposed to any Stars tourney that starts you with 75 plus the fact that a ton of these people learned to play from TV. I'm guessing you got busted out by one of the school of fish. P.S...you play at Orioles?? |

Re: Should I wear sunglasses and baseball cap to a major tournament?
I custom-ordered prescription shades for this year's WSOP ME. Completely mirrored with almost no tint so I could see clearly. I wasn't used to wearing shades at the table but adjusted to them easily. The visor that Marcel Luske wore looks like a pretty good solution too.

Call me crazy but I wear shades to disguise when I'm counting the pot. If I'm figuring pot odds, it's pretty obvious I'm on a draw.

Re: Should I wear sunglasses and baseball cap to a major tournament?
I'm 47 and probably have played in 500 larger events. I bought sun glasses six monthes ago. My heads too big to
find a hat that fits me comfortably. I just got sick and tired of young punks with shades on stearing me down so I went out bought some myself. I still really don't like wearing them. It's more difficult to follow the action and a lot of people give off tells with their glasses. When they have a big hand they wear them, vice versa. All in all it's mixed bag. If I wear them too long by the end of the session I have one gd headache. I notice more and more of the top pros with them. If you wear them all the time you theoreticallyl should be less tell proof, but on the flip side you lose a degree of comfort. Bruce |
