UPDATE
okay, I played in the 15/30 at Wynn last night, and except for a ridiculous very first hand of the evening that cost me half my initial buy-in (as posted elsewhere) it was a very enjoyable and profitable evening.
The game was very loose, mostly passive, with an average of 3-6 people seeing a flop. I bought in for a rack (and a half) of red and walked away with four racks after about 7 hours. I won the biggest hand of the evening when my set of tens cracked both AA and QQ with four people seeing the river and multiple raises all the way. $900 or so in that one - woo hoo! thanks to all you "big-timers" for recommending various games around town. I appreciate it. |

How is the 150-300 game? Who generally plays in that game? Does it run regularly? [/ QUOTE ] Nope. Whenever I go (which isn't very often...like once a month) I start an interest list and only twice have we got a game going. Game quality wise? It really depends who was in it. When the table got more full in the morning it was a much tougher game than when I played HU and 3 handed. They were decent enough players but I think playing the amount of aggressive hold-em I've played online boaded really well for me. It was really fun to play in a live game where the stakes really mattered and play my absolute hardest. |

Re: easier game for first foray into Vegas mid-limits
to be honest, middle limit game selection only really matters before 4pm. After that, there are good games everywhere. Personally, i always liked bellagio because of the 2/3 structure creating more post flop play compared to mirage. but you will find loose passive poker everywhere.

Re: easier game for first foray into Vegas mid-limits
If you are first jumping into the new limits, go on a Friday or Saturday evening. Either the $20-40 at Mirage or the $15-30 at Bellagio are good games. Like others said, Bellagio has a better selection as Mirage usually only has 1 or 2 $20-40 games going. If the games are not good, change tables....Mirage still has $10-20 and Bellgio has several $15-30 games. If all games suck, just roll over to the other casino.

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] bellagio [/ QUOTE ] Ha! You're just trying to get a new fish to the game. I can see you licking your chops already.... [/ QUOTE ] Add a 0 at the end of the 15 and 30 and maybe we'll see eachother in a game at the bellagio. [/ QUOTE ] Hard to believe that someone could actually think typing something as douchy as this was a good idea. |
