A strange hand
Party 2/4. Co is lag, button is a tag and limpers are unknown.
Pre flop: 2 ep limpers, co raises, button 3-bets, i cold call in the sb with J [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]T [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] bb folds and limpers and lag calls. Flop(5 players 16sb): 10 8 6 one spade Checks to button who bets, i check/raise, limpers fold, lag calls and button calls. Turn(3 players 11bb): off suit brick I bet, lag calls and button folds River(2 players 13bb): 9 I bet, lag raises and i call. Okay pre flop and river are my questions. Do you fold or capp pre flop? How do you play the river? |

Re: A strange hand
pre-flop is a fold for me. I'd go another on the river.

Re: A strange hand
I'm trying to figure out what to do on the river myself, afraid to bet into someone's stronger hand, even when I'm fairly certain they don't have one. But what are you afraid of your opponent having on the river here? You have the nut stright, bet as much as they will call.

Re: A strange hand
fold pf...you don't have the implied odds to call here.
on the river, I would call vs LAG. Another play is to check to try and induce a bluff from a hand like AK. I would probably only do this vs a LAG |

Re: A strange hand
Capping preflop is terrible; calling is pretty bad.
I like your play on all other streets. |

You have the nut stright, bet as much as they will call. [/ QUOTE ] Hmm... 3-betting seems excessive to me here, given we have just top pair(good kicker), on coordinated board. Edit: Preflop I'd fold. |
