Perhaps I was a bit harsh... but you should at least seriously consider moving down in limits.

Re: flopped top set and tons of action 3-6NL UB
Well to be honest this is the lowest limit i play. I play 3-6Nl up to 10-20nl. I am by far a winning player. The reason for this post is the fact that i knew i was not going to win the hand. If you know your not going to win the hand which i did why not fold? the 3 reasons and the fact that i knew no matter what i was not going to win i was wondering if i could factor that into a fold. not a bad beat post, no need to move down in limits, just wondering if its ok to go with gut feeling and fold the hand.

[/ QUOTE ] If your gut feeling is a read that tells you that someone has a monster hand while your hand is middling, then it's ok to fold. But not here, where you have redraws to the nuts even if you're behind (and you're almost always ahead anyway). If your gut feeling is a read that tells you magically what the next two cards are going to be, thus causing your nut hand to be outdrawn, then no, it's not OK to fold then. To win at poker, you need to think in terms of EV, not results. |
