i started off being not sure this is true. but then i checked and it seems like it is:

there's 2810 in the pot, and he has to call 1200 more. that's ~ 2.3:1 odds. you have him as a 3:1 dog to the logical hand range he has. if hes on something else 20% of the time, and would win with that something else only 30% of the time he has it (both assumptions seem reasonable as a starting point), then that means 80% of the time we win 25% of the time (your post - gives us pot equity of 20%), and 20% of the time we win 70% of the time (gives us pot equity of 14%). this would be a total shot of 34%. this would give us the odds to call easily as 2.3 > 64/34.
