Does this mean that people can find the mod forum if they actually look for it? [/ QUOTE ] I just logged out and tried it... no. |

Which does mean that there's a way, although obviously it's easier to let people in than keep them out I imagine, and granting access to OOT for every new poster seems like a nightmare.

[/ QUOTE ] If I had to guess it's possible to make a forum that "only allows the following people" but not "blocks the following people". |

It allows groups. There are only three: user, moderators, and admnistrators. This forum blocks all "users."

Can we make a group of "OK for OOT" that everyone is a member of by default, and then remove them from that group as necessary?

[/ QUOTE ] i would appreciate such a feature, but if a software change is in the near future i think it might be more trouble than it's worth. it depends on what kind of scripts chuck has for mass db changes and that sort of thing. if he's relying on ubb admin software, such a thing may prove to be repetitive and manual. |

[/ QUOTE ] Wouldn't it be easier to make a "not ok for oot" group and change anyone who is a [censored] to that access level instead of user? Then oot can have a deny access level to the "not ok for oot" group. |
