NL25 River decision - Spewage?
From Villain's bet speed on the river (über fast), I had a feeling he didn't have the ace. With no read, is this an easy fold?

Re: NL25 River decision - Spewage?
Yep, spew.
Speaking for myself, if there is a pause it is often because I am trying to figure out if this is a good time to run a bluff. I dont like to chuck my chips in there without taking a second to decide if it is a good idea. If I do have the goods then once in a while I take some time just to make up for those other times when I was bluffing. This avoids the pause being a 100% solid tell. But 85% of the time I push my chips in as fast as I can to get him to make a decision quick, I dont want to give him extra time to talk his way out of it. I want a reflex call, not a well thought out fold. In other words, when I push em in really fast it is almost never a bluff. |

Re: NL25 River decision - Spewage?
I don't have a lot of experience from 25NL but from what i've seen, that would be a really dumb spot to bluff in limits where people play A-rag all the time...so if villain isn't a complete donkey, i think i'd insta-muck.

[/ QUOTE ] Sure they play ace-rag at 25NL all the time, but the only hands I was really worried about were AJ and A3, since Villain called the flop. Of course A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]x [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] is a possibility too. |

He might be full of crap, but its doesnt hurt to cut your losses. You can afford to let the buck fifty go this time.
Thats a pretty scary board to bluff out of position into. If hes that reckless, you'll hose him later when you do have the ace. |

FWIW, Hero calls and opponent turns over KQo for a slowplayed two pair. Heros read is spot on and MHIG.
