flop aggression (long)
My flop aggression is real high (4.5) so I want to try to tone it down some. With that in mind, I looked through my database a bit to find an assortment of hands that are representative of my flop play when I am the aggressor. Any comments? I do use GT+, but lets assume no reads.

Re: flop aggression (long)
5. wait and raise the turn
6. i'm calling down the after the preflop cap and flop 3bet 7. I'm not sure about this one, but I think I would just call there. the rest I like just fine. |

Re: flop aggression (long)
6 and 7 are too much, AK[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] you're probably both drawing, but he's not folding a T and it's likely he's got a piece he's also not folding. The TT hand is just pointless. check/call every street except the river, bet/fold or bet/call that depending.

I'm not sure about this one, but I think I would play it the same and take a free card. the rest I like just fine. [/ QUOTE ] What jba said, except I probably cap #7 too if you're not likely to get donked on the turn. Definitely not wrong to call the flop 3-bet either though, I think. |

Re: flop aggression (long)
Now that I look at the TT hand again, I realize it might be a bad example. I probably had a read that he was a goofball because that is over the top even for me.

Re: flop aggression (long)
In the spirit of this post, I just slowplayed a set, allowing a runner runner flush to beat me, so I'm off to a great start.

Re: flop aggression (long)
If you are looking to tone down your aggression, you should tone it down with middle pair, not sets.
