Re: LA to get NFL team
Where's the "WHO CARES" option?
And by that I mean, does the city of Los Angeles even give a damn? The NFL bent over BACKWARDS to award LA the 32nd franchise over Houston...and LA just couldn't get its [censored] together. If this happens, I hope it's an existing team...the NFL talent pool is watered down enough as it is - we don't need a 33rd and (then ultimately) 34th team. |

Re: LA to get NFL team
It's bad business for the NFL to put a team in LA. Right now, every team wanting a new stadium just needs to threaten to move to LA. Once there's a team there, that leverage is gone.
FWIW, the Colts new stadium here in Indy is already being built. |

Football has the right idea (except I would rather there be 4 8-team divisions, so that there weren't automatic playoff bids to teams like whoever wins the NFC North -- in my scenario, the four divisional winners would at least all be deserving of a bye and home-field and even a playoff berth at all). |

Re: LA to get NFL team
So what if a "bad" team wins in a weak division? They still have to play teams outside of the division, and they all have to play each other. And, should a bad team ultimately make it (which has happened many times), shouldn't they just lose their first playoff game? What's the harm in that?
