this looks like it has a very good chance of being a blind steal. is this one of those oppurtunities to defend the blind?

If by defend you mean push, I wouldnt. Calling seems horrible, so its push or fold. Without a read this is tough, but I'd fold.

Nah. You're in the small blind, still have a decent stack, and A9 just isn't that good. Let the BB fight it out with the raiser if he wants.
