2+2 Firefox search extension (free download).
Co-authored by StevieG and myself with some good input from other brown trouts, just click here to download it (note that it is hosted by mozdev.com, which is sometimes laggy).
StevieG also created a google 2+2 search which I hope he will upload ASAP. |

Re: 2+2 Firefox search extension (free download).
stevieg and kneeco,
very nice work! i just tried them both out and they are fantastic. this is a giant leap ahead and seems long overdue given the limited nature of the current search capabilities coupled with the incredible volume of good information. let me be the first to say "thanks guys", sean ps. you should try and disemenate this on a wider scale....perhaps even pm mason or miller as i am sure they would want to get this out to posters. |

[/ QUOTE ] Aw, shucks, McCoy. Thanks. I think in some ways it is more limited than the existing forum search. It is much easier to use, for sure, but it uses the defaults for searching all forums and the full time range. Therefore it is less efficient than more refined searches. One thing I would like is better defaults in the archiveserver search. The defaults are essentially useless since the date range is limited to 6 months, and the archives start about 4 months ago. Unfortunately, the search plugins allow only for static variables, so it cannot be done from that end. What is needed is a mod to the PHP there that calculates appropriate defaults based on the current date. I'd be happy to help Chuck make a mod like this. |

Tried both links and couldn't find it. [/ QUOTE ] Go to the search plugin home page In the "Find search plugins" form, enter "twoplustwo" and hit the button. That should return results with both of them. |
