Re: Complete madness.
It looks like you didn't end up doing too bad (-$5 net), but in my experience, I fold to the $8 on the flop. Maybe that's too passive a play, but: 1) I have an unprotected nut low. 2) There were preflop raises 3) the coordinated board and the multiwayness of the pot make it unlikely that you're getting the high end.
Maybe if I look back and analyze the stack sizes on each respective round my decision would change, but as far as my instinctive play, it's a fold. |

Re: Complete madness.
I would have raised the maximum amount on the flop. It takes a very specific hand for you to be a dog when heads-up. So raise and try to make it happen. If you take this approach, you're committed to the hand and will then have to commit the rest of your stack if/when any other opponents move in on you. It's a high variance play, but should be +EV both now and may also add some EV to your image.

I lost half my stack. [/ QUOTE ] Right, for some reason I read the ~$30 side pot as being yours. Oops. |

Re: Complete madness.
I'm pretty new at this, but don't you at least need to fold the turn? You're almost certainly splitting the low, and you've only got 4 non-nut outs to high (someone has to have the flush). Even on the flop it seems pretty clear that both Ax clubs and and A2 are out in other hands.

Re: Complete madness.
As it turns out with the actual hands, you had the worst hand pre-flop, almost the worst hand on the flop, and just one out to high on the turn (3 vs the remaining live money).
