Default Re: Have You Ever Irritated an Entire Table?

I once irritated everyone at the table who wasn't a 2p2er.

It probably had something to do with me loudly proclaiming that my opponent should 'Suck my dick, bitch' after sucking out on him in some sort of preflop race. I think Unarmed proceeded to run interference while I said several other highly innapropriate things and offered not to bang my nuts on his chin too hard if he did a good job.

Good times.

PS You either need to call in the hand you're talking about or bet less....doing what you did is highly sub-optimal even without knowing full information. However, no matter what you do it's very silly if anyone berates you or complains to you.

berating that is not done with the express intent of gleaning information about or putting the player on tilt is stupid. If they're good they know what they did, and if they're bad they wont understand/you want them to be that bad.

uh, tag yugo.

Man, winning is so much sweeter when you have an asswipe know-it-all at the table. I honestly think people like that make me play better. Stirs up my competitive side.

not a huge effect, but i think raising liberally preflop annoys players.

Turning Stone Casino twice in one week had the whole table pissed at me. Both were the same situation though, were a few off the bubble of a tournament, I have a stack and am raising a ton of hands trying to build a monster stack while everyone tries squeeking into the money. Everyone wants to make a "save" so the few players close to the bubble can get money, of course I'm the only one that rejects to it and have the whole table Bitching and moaning at me even calling me greedy. haha

No, it's all good if it's ridiculously funny and you're very drunk. Also, I wasn't berating....I was just being stupid...there is a difference.

I also think that opening up like that will improve your game by showing you places where the play is best made as a LAG.

I did this today and it was quite an eye opener. I was actually going for maniac status, but I couldn't quite get there as it's just not my nature.

I did manage to play like a LAG and it was absolutely amazing what I did to that table pyschologically. I mean, I've never just run over a game like that before. People had no idea what to do with me.

I'll admit that I caught some cards, but damn I've never been this effective on a rush while playing my usual tight aggressive style.

I'm hoping that if I practice this style once a week, it will help me switch gears more effectively.

haha, I didnt mean you... I meant bad players who do it honestly thinking that they're right.

it is extremely fun to see their reactions though, mucho humorous.

You've confused me. Are you saying that loose aggressive isn't a legitimate style? What about guys like Gus Hanson or Sam Farha?

Am I misunderstanding you?
