First question: I would bet the flop hoping the pfr raises. You maybe have the best hand now, but it is very vulnerable. I think you gain more EV if you can knock out the two limpers (who might have 4 overcards combined) than you do just c/ring to build the pot. If both limpers call, I would reraise, if just one i would probably only call.
Question 2: Easy check raise |

Hero also wants AJ, AT type hands to fold. Hero is eliminating hands that potentially beat him at showdown. Though his pot equity is high, the hero's hand is no monster. He needs to create outs. [/ QUOTE ] Uh, Hero is actually rooting for hands like AJ and AT to call 2 cold on the flop, since they only have between 2-3 outs vs our hand. If they called the flop knowing that we had them reverse-dominated, they would be making a colossal mistake. I think this is one of those rare hands where we don't care too much one way or another if Button raises the flop to blow out the field. Even if one donkey cold-calls (and this is live 4/8 after all), Hero's bet is for value and he has as many as 12 outs vs hands like KK, QQ. Oh, and if Hero checked the flop and Button bet, then I agree this is one of the easiest check-raises ever. Tom |

Back to the action:
Hero did indeed raise (as apparently planned since he had a good feeling that the button would bet, and wanted to build the pot). The button three bet. The first limper called, and the second limper folded. Action back to Hero. (Pot now contains 18.5 small bets) Hero... ?? |
