Help Me Plan My Vegas Trip
My wife and I are going out to Vegas later this week (and through the weekend) to celebrate both of our birthdays and her becoming a partner in a major law firm.
She has been out there several times for bachelorette parties, but I have somehow never visited there before. Please offer up suggestions for activities to do. We have about three and one-half days. I will ask poker-related question in B&M so post your non-poker thoughts here. BTW, I like magic and was thinking about taking in the Penn & Teller show and/or Lance Burton (both of whom I have not seen live since I was a teenager). Any thoughts on these or other magic acts. Mrs. Colgin wants to hit some cool clubs/lounges so any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks in advance. Colgin |

Re: Help Me Plan My Vegas Trip
I saw Lance Burton about 5 months ago. Very nice night out.
Rita Rudner was a good evening's entertainment too, if she's still there at New York New York (I think). Eating at the Stratosphere was cool, and Freemont street is okay for the light show - and they have some cool bands playing live too. If you like the Beatles at all, the Fab Four in the Desert Passage was pretty good, and finished pretty early (8ish) if you feel like something early. |

Re: Help Me Plan My Vegas Trip
Is she cool with strip clubs? If she's gonna be down with the "everything that happens in Vegas" mentality, I suggest trying to ply every single fantasy you've ever had out of her. Vegas is wierd like that. [censored] just happens, then you wake up on Sunday to catch your flight and think, 'did I really just do that' as you're kicking the midget and llama out of your room and trying to get Teller off of your wife...

Spearmint Rhino.
Purple Reign at the Boardwalk if you want to see the best free show in Vegas. I liked the Penn & Teller show a lot but I already knew I liked them. I'd imagine Lance Burton is pretty good too but I really have no idea. I've also heard the best show on the Strip is Ka. Yugoslav |

If you want to take the Mrs. to a good afterhours club, I suggest Drai's at Barbary Coast, does not get good until after 3:00AM.

Ka, and any Circe du Soleil shows I couldn't get tickets for during the week I was there. You may want to book beforehand if you want to do that.
