Re: Hand from last night - action inducing line?
This hand is easy. Lead the flop. Good things will happen from there.

Re: Hand from last night - action inducing line?
I agree with the posters who have suggested you lead this flop. Flopping the nuts looks like a great candidate for slowplaying, but remember that a str8 is very vulnerable to both counterfeiting (making higher str8s possible) and to the board pairing. There a myriad of ways to either lose or split this pot. All things considered, your goal in this hand should be to get all the chips in on the flop and avoid difficult decisions later so you lead and hope to get raised by two pair, a set, or maybe even somebody with an overpair or pair plus str8 draw.
If you make a decent sized bet at a flop like this, keep in mind that people almost NEVER give you credit for the nuts. If somebody has something, they are likely to raise to protect it since there are so many scary cards that can come on the turn. |

lead the flop. life becomes easier. [/ QUOTE ] Totally agree. In general, I'll bet 1/2 to 3/4 of the pot, which is about how I bet when I'm on a steal. Does anyone here bet full pot or less than 1/2 pot? Marlow |
