Re: Diablo II
Actually I just started playing this today as a matter of fact. It's a little boring, but I imagine it will pick up once I get some better items. On that note, anyone have any spare stuff?

Re: Diablo II
My roommate started it up again 10 days ago and got his character up to level 72, downloaded a map hack and got banned.
They banned him within 30 minutes of use, it was crazy. Blizzard is on top of things. He had to go buy another copy cuz they banned his CD key. |

Re: Diablo II
Wow crazy stuff. So no more hacked weapons? And bots and such?

Re: Diablo II
Blizzard being on top of things sounds like a contradiction in terms. Good to hear that they're putting more effort into things.

Re: Diablo II
hardcore pvp was tons of fun before hacks/bots took over completely.
The only game I still play is Dota for wc3, which is alot less time demanding. Try it, itīs awesome. |

Re: Diablo II
On USEAST I used to have an 88 Sorce with 410 Magic find that I'd take on Mephisto runs to sell uniques/charms on eBay. But that was in 2001. Had a 90 amazon and 74 druid also. I was one of the very first people to get a full Suzabis set and sold it for $142 on eBay. One of the very first to get War Traveller boots and got $125 for them lol. Made about $6,000 total off that game.
I solo'd Diablo Hell at level 36 with my Amazon. That game is all about gear. |

Re: Diablo II
On the current ladder season I have a level 89 Paladin with ~530MF... don't have quite the awesome gear yet though.

Re: Diablo II
Posting on behalf of someone else:
Diablo really is all about getting the best possible gear. It's true to an increased degree in PVP (player vs. player, for those who don't know), but even if you don't duel, you won't have nearly as much fun playing the game without decent gear, because there will always be the pressure to improve. So what it really comes down to is your devotion. There is a microcosm of an economy in this one game, and if you want to be "financially successful", you need to keep track of everything or you fall out of the loop. I did, because I hated the people and I hated the trading, and now I'm selling my gear. By the way, they patched all the hacks. So none of that [censored] anymore; it's a legit environment other than the remaining dupes. |

[/ QUOTE ] I gave up Diablo II when I started playing poker. I just checked my accounts. Most of my characters have expired, but I have a few left.I gave away most of my top-notch stuff when I quit, and some more disappeared with the expired characters. But I still have a few items. IK Set, SOJ's, annihulus charms (2 I think), bunch of random stuff. It's all on US East NL SC. PM me if you want the accounts. |
