If you're going to call a bet, then lead. Seems like there should be some fold equity here, although the flop call is suspicious. Your hand is decent, only dead to a boat at this point. I'd tend to lead for the pot.

I'd say so, you basically forfeited any fold equity a bare Jack might have had. I prefer a check call here when you have a strong hand and you'd like to induce a bluff.
