Typical situation in these typical times...
Villain has reasonable 6-max stats, 34/15/1.9 over 60 hands and has done nothing out of the ordinary so far.
Ultimate Bet 2/4 Hold'em (5 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx Preflop: Hero is Button with Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. UTG raises, 1 fold, Hero 3-bets, 2 folds, UTG calls. Flop: (7.50 SB) 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players) UTG checks, Hero bets, UTG raises, Hero ... What's a good line here? |

Re: Typical situation in these typical times...
I think I'll call and raise the turn here, but 3betting now isn't bad.

Re: Typical situation in these typical times...
Call it and raise any turn minus ace. Or king.

I missed the raise/3-bet as well. Originally had 9's in my post hence the edit |

Re: Typical situation in these typical times...
[ QUOTE ]
I think I'll call and raise the turn here, but 3betting now isn't bad. [/ QUOTE ] Well I feel like these are my two options. Calling down sucks. I don't like waiting until the river to raise because we give away too many cheap cards on an already semi-scary board, and I don't know if unimproved overs or A9/K9 are going to bet the river for me. In general, my desire to not give away cheap cards really makes me want to raise right now. But I feel like 3-betting this flop just screams "I have an overpair!", and that I'm going to get capped (or turn check-raised) by hands like AA/KK/99/etc. Lesser hands are just going to fold or call down (when they would've probably bet/called a blank on the turn). So either I lose some value there, or I just lose more money if I'm behind. Still not sure, but I'm thinking the call-the-flop/raise-the-turn line looks a bit better... |
