Speed tourney hand
70 people left, top 50 pay, I've got 10,000 chips and blinds are 2000/4000. Button has 5,300 chips, SB has 8,400 (6,400 after posting), and BB has 12,500 (8,500 after posting).
Folded to me in the CO and I push with 93o |

Re: Speed tourney hand
Are there blinds? The bigger the pot, the more likely you will be called. Reads are key - are any of these guys calling PF raises, and if so, with what range? Are they trying to win, or get back their buy in?
93 sucks, but it's very hard to be too aggressive in these things. Where you run into trouble is if the button decides he likes his king, because then the BB will very nearly have to call. I could go either way. |

Re: Speed tourney hand
I would like that raise a lot more if the BB had exactly 1,999 chips or less after posting.

Re: Speed tourney hand
Err, playing, talking, watching TV and posting at the same time is bad...but I knew what I wanted to say and just said something different.
"if BB had between 2001 and 4K chips or so after posting" (yes he'd be getting odds, but this is a speed tourney on the bubble, so nobody cares) |

Re: Speed tourney hand
Then yea, I agree, if his stack was lower than 12k I'd like it more, since anybody under 12k can't call and fold for an orbit. I think with these stacks the push is pretty read dependent on how much the BB relies on pot odds, absent a read I probably fold, but I never really play those turbos.
