25/50 UB 6 Handed
I open $175 UTG with 6 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
Flamey is next and calls, its heads up. He has 4K, I have him covered. Flop A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] T [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] I check, He bets $300. I call. TURN T [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] I check, He bets $600. I fold. I gave consideration to check-raising the turn. |

Re: 25/50 UB 6 Handed
I watched Flamey and you a little last night, and it looked like he was getting a bit out of line on more than a few occasions. Is this true, and if so, how does it effect your decision?

Re: 25/50 UB 6 Handed
Can you explain your logic as to not betting the flop? You raised preflop and big, vulnerable (to what one would think a PFR would have) cards came out. Not only this, your flush draw is nicely disguised.
Checkraising turn seems risky as you could be drawing dead. ZZzzZZzzZZzz |

Re: 25/50 UB 6 Handed
This looks like a perfect board for a continuation bet, regardless of whether or not you have the draw. With the PFR, this is easily a board that hit you hard. I'm really curious as to why you didn't lead the flop.

What happened to
[ QUOTE ] I have little to no intention of moving up in stakes mainly for the reasons I mentioned above. I am comfortable here. I now want to maximize my results and play my A game as often as possible. [/ QUOTE ] |

Re: 25/50 UB 6 Handed
i have the intention of making money in these games, but playing in them is more for fun then for money. I am certain I could make more multitabling at Party then I could playing the bigger games, but the former is less interesting and less fun. Also, at times the UB game is just as soft as the Party games.

i think he has a piece of this board to often to lead the flop, and its too likely he'll raise me when he does.

That's a completely dick response. What stakes a guy plays is completely his own business.

[/ QUOTE ] If you switch the positions and he raised UTG and you were next to act, what is your calling range? Then what is your action on this flop with different parts of that range? I really don't see how you think the majority of his calling range preflop is raising you on this flop. |
