WTF, I thought you were a gimmick account? [/ QUOTE ] I use my other account for the strategy forums. I don't want to mix my oot and strategy accounts. I've never had occasion to post anything non-gimmicky in oot before. Thanks for not banning me with the other gimmicks last time around. |

[ QUOTE ] I'd suggest mslif's basket idea with a nice bottle of wine. [/ QUOTE ] This sounds like a good idea too. We don't know wines though. What's a good? Any recs for French wines (or any others), mslif? [/ QUOTE ] First, when you pick a french wine, follow these couples of rules: The wine has to be bottled at the property. The bottle will say "mis en bouteille a (name of property or cattle). Also make sure you see "appelation controle" on the bottle. It is very important. Now, you can find some great St. Emilions that are not too expensive. I do not know much about american wines unfortunately. |

Please educate those of us who understand American wines and would like to learn more about French (and other countries' wines). |

Re: Another Gift Advice Question
If the wine is not botted at the property it was made at, it can tempered with. Most likely will be diluted or some aroma will be added to it.
You want to look for AOC (appelation d'origine controlle) meaning the name of the wine is actually from the property it was made. This is the most important thing to look for. If you are looking for a very good wine (more expensive) you want to look for VDQS (Vin de qualitee superior) meaning Wine of higher quality. You will be able to see those letters on the bottle. The key in french wine is not to look for the most expensive you find. Edit; I do not want to hijack this thread either, PM me if you have any questions. |

[ QUOTE ] Gift certificate to a day spa. [/ QUOTE ] This sounds like a good idea. What do these places cost? [/ QUOTE ] for a full days treatement $300 plus for just a decent and what not massage around 100+ honestly if ur tryin to help her relax and feel special u should do the full day thing minimum...otherwise she may not even use it b/c its only for an hr and she would use the excuse she is "too busy" hell even if u got her the whole day treatment she still might be too busy to go |
