Simple (and probably dumb) question
I was looking for the "First Ace pays money" blackjack thread, but could not find it. In the thread, it described a blackjack game where a bonus bet of $1 would give you $25 if your first card was an ace. I think it was Aaron Brown who did the EV for the first ace being $2.36.
What I am wondering is if I double the bonus bet to $2, does that double the EV to $4.72? Thanks! |

Yes, unless there's a cap on the amount you can win

[/ QUOTE ] It's here, and it was I who calculated the first ace to be worth at least $1.78, with the total EV being $2.68. If they allow you to double your bet, then that will double the EV. |
