Recommend Some Jazz Albums
I am in the mood for jazz, but all I have is My Favorite Things by Coltrane, which I love. So please suggest some albums along the same lines.

Re: Recommend Some Jazz Albums
If you like MFT because it's off beat from regular (4/4) jazz, look up Dave Brubeck's Take Five. If you want some just spectacular jazz that's been knocking my socks of lately, I'd recommend:
Louis Armstrong - The Complete Hot Fives and Hot Sevens Collection Duke Ellington - Masterpieces 1926-1949 Gene Harris - The Best of the Concord Years Various Aritists - For Dancers Only! |

Re: Recommend Some Jazz Albums
Maynard Ferguson - The essence of maynard ferguson
Wes Montgomery - Incredible Jazz Guitar Barney Kessel - It's a Blue World Charles Mingus - Blues and Roots Charlie Parker - Jazz 'Round Midnight Chops - Chops II [I know the band leader who is awesome and the group is very good - good luck finding it though] Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong did some recording together, so find whatever album it is that they cut |
