But would MP have made the call if you had called.
Thats the annoying question. I'd have felt more comfortable knowing that MP was going to fold if I called - I represented strength early and AQ facing that kind of action kind of shrinks, you have to suspect a minimum of AK and/or pairs, and maybe a dominating pair. |

If MP was out of the picture, I would have insta-called. But if I want to play here, I need to push or call. What happens if I call and MP pushes? Tough spot...

What's the buyin?
If the MP is a known smart player you could just call and hope for a complicitous check-down if he calls behind and you don't elect to outplay him on the flop. Since you're first to act, you could also stop-n-go here since you've got 900 behind. You're right, tough spot if you call and MP pushes, but 3-1 in the pot is too attractive to let this go in my opinion. |
