UTEP v. Memphis
anyone like utep here -3 at memphis
Memphis is down too their 3rd string QB after there 2nd one had his leg broke this week. Memphis has a higher ranked offense but the 2 teams are averaging around the same scoring wise. The defenses are pretty evenly matched also giving up around an average of low 20's a game. That under at 51 seems to be a good play also The weather forcast calls for on Saturday Scattered Showers (possible Thunderstorms) High 80°F Low 66°F UTEP is 3-0 on the year and 2-1 ats memphis is 1-2 and 0-2 ats any thought appreciated |

Re: UTEP v. Memphis
Gotta be honest here, I'm not a huge fan of betting road favorites unless one team is just CLEARLY better. UTEP is the better team right now, but that could change quickly. Play's not for me, personally. The under seems like a decent play, though.

Re: UTEP v. Memphis
if you lay UTEP on the road, find a -3 and not -3.5. even then it's marginal.

Re: UTEP v. Memphis
Memphis lost a tough game last week to Tulsa, and if you watched it, they prolly should have won. UTEP has not played a team thats even close to Tulsa.
Utep's D looked horrible against Houston, that whole game looked like 2 4a high schools. Memphis is bigger and better IMO, I like the Tigers gettin 3.5 at home. |

Re: UTEP v. Memphis
We haven't seen Memphis fire on all cylinders this entire year. I watched them hang tough with Ole Miss a couple weeks back. Regardless of who their QB is, once their #2 went in the primary gameplan was feed DeAngelo Williams. I expect it to stay exactly the same with the #3 QB so the game against Tulsa last week was a good indicator. I'm not sold on UTEP defense but they seem to make enough plays to win. It's tough to gameplan against Houston's offense, as we saw week one when they shredded Oregon, but eventually just wore down versus OU superior talent. However, UTEP has a very talented offense led by UCLA transfer Ebell. I think Price is a great coach, but I think this matchup is tough to call. I don't like UTEP that much at -3.5, but as someone else mentioned if you're going to go with this play, get it at -3. Good luck.
