THis is standard right? or am I way off
Hero is on the BB with A5o.
Folded to the SB who completes. I raise he calls. Flop comes 4 2 2. he checks, i bet, he raises, i call. Turn and river come a Jack and then Queen. I call both of his bets. |

if by "standard" you mean you'd take this line against most all opponents, i'd say no. it's definitely reasonable, but i'm also folding the turn a fair amount (opponent/situation specific).

Yea, I call the flop bet and fold the turn UI more often than I call down.

Sb chose not to raise preflop when he nearly has to raise or fold and you raised preflop when you didn't have to. He's got a made hand! A deuce would not surprise me nor would a big pp. I would count your outs as half and fold the turn UI. I do like that you didn't re-raise the flop. Re-raising the flop forces you you to call the turn should he cap and he probably will given that he checked-raised a bb PFR.
