Re: Am I completely crazy???
check it back to him or minbet, depending on how you've been playing already, and hope he bets/calls/raises. If he does, just call him, if he doesn't, bet him for the smallest you think he'll call back with on the turn/river.
This is a chip extraction excercise, but if you're really lucky, he'll have KK/QQ/JJ/TT, and get a set on the turn. |

Re: Am I completely crazy???
This is the best play, in my opinion. You raised preflop, so he's putting you on a hand here. Thing is, if you had Ax, KK or maybe even QQ you'd look to trap. Your play looks like a medium pocket pair and the only way you're getting more chips out of this is if he has a medium - high pocket pair (TT or above???). He might be able to put you on KQs-JTs as well, so if he is in the lower range of pocket pairs, a K or Q will kill your action later anyway.
Since you bet right out, he may try to represent the A assuming that you can't have it (who flops quad A's and bets right out?) as well. |

Re: Am I completely crazy???
you could probably suck a bet out of him if he has a middle pair if you check the whole way....but once you raise he's probably gone.
but i think the better approach is to bet out and hope he makes a move on you, which he'll do often enough to make this better IMO. |

Re: Am I completely crazy???
A check might look suspicious, but checking and making a min bet on the turn might look like a small PP/KQ type hand checking for the ace. At least attempt to masquerade that you are putting in a blocking bet.
I think you're better off checking to the river if you have to, especially at the lower buyins. You did get some good value PF, but the 5xbb flop bet is a bit insane. |

Re: Am I completely crazy???
It's fine if 2k is close to a standard continuation bet at this level / pot size. The main thing is not to do anything that looks too suspicious.
(A minbet qualifies as suspicious. A check less so, since you may just be scared of the trip aces. I like the bet.) |

Re: Am I completely crazy???
Yes, for playing on a site where you can flop two aces of clubs. Otherwise, no.
