Buy-ins for NL games
Is there a rule of thunb to use if they dont have a set min/max buy in for a NL game.
Ex. bellagio offers 2/5nl $200.00 min/max. But i've seen some casinos open a 5/10nl game. Whats the rule of thumb for what you need to sit in nl games? Is there one? I understand limit, 30+BB and what not. How about NL? Thanks! |

Re: Buy-ins for NL games
Buy in for the max, and have several more max buyins in your pocket. If that's too much money, then play a smaller game.

Re: Buy-ins for NL games
Every NL game I've ever seen has had a max buy-in. It may not be listed at the board showing the games but there is one.

Re: Buy-ins for NL games
Yes I've seen alot with only a min.
So theres no rule of thumb with NL as to a buy in. Basically above the min and what you can afford, with regards to re-buy? |

Re: Buy-ins for NL games
Online max buy-ins are often 100BB so you could try starting there.

Re: Buy-ins for NL games
cover people you're better than, not people who are better than you. play a stack size you're comfortable playing, in relation to the blinds and standard pfr.
if all else fails, buy shortish to start - you can always add on. |
