Re: Official Home Poker forum \"bad beat\" labeling rules
Agreed 100%.
I'm soooooooo tired of bad beat stories. Um, you play poker. Luck is involved. Get over it. If you don't like it, go play chess. |

Re: Official Home Poker forum \"bad beat\" labeling rules
this wasn't my beat, but: Home poker tourney. 32 players started, now down to 16. 8 players at the table. 100/200 blinds. UTG with 1100 chips calls. Remaining fold to the BB who checks. Flop is Q64 rainbow. BB has 800 chips remaining and goes all in with Q6 offsuit. UTG calls and shows K5 offsuit. Turn 8. River 7. BB is out of the tourney and UTG now has 2200 chips and goes on to come in second overall. I realize amateur players can make crazy calls but that had to hurt

Re: Official Home Poker forum \"bad beat\" labeling rules
[ QUOTE ]
Those posters that violate the bad beat rules of posting here will agree to be harassed for the following week AND you accept that the poker gods will be sending 3 more beats your way in the near future, [/ QUOTE ] I'm posting this one that violates all the rules in hopes that more beats like this one come my way... I'm getting short at 8 or 9 BB's and am so far away from the money its pathetic. I'm in the BB. Folded to LP player who min raises. Sb Calls and I push with K-9 Suited. Min-raiser folds. SB Calls. He turns over 99 and I'm officially toast. Flop brings no help none of my suit and two clubs (he's got a club and I don't). Turn brings the lovely lovely non club king. River puts a third club on the board. So I hit a two outer (the king of clubs would've made his flush on the river) get a ton of momentum and three hours later I chop with the other remaining player. More please!!! --Zetack |

Re: Official Home Poker forum \"bad beat\" labeling rules
The rules for this whole bad beat thing are simple. If it happens to me it's a bad beat, if it happens to you you're just unlucky.

Re: Official Home Poker forum \"bad beat\" labeling rules
my general response to this thread is "why make any bad beat posts at all"? do you really think we havent seen/experienced a billion 3 outers a week? do we care about how your aces lost? the answer is no. so my guidelines for posting bad beats would be to not post bad beats...

Maybe, but the main point doesn't seem to be getting through...
Or maybe bad beats stories are the weeds in the poker garden- something you have to live with. |
