Welcome to low limit Friday night poker
Ok, so with this action, ther has to be like a .000001% chance I am ahead right?
Getting Hand History Information... ---------------------------------------------------------------- Hand #7825214-19 at Fri11pmA-049 (No Limit tournament Hold'em) Powered by UltimateBet Started at 19/Aug/05 23:19:45 quinnmob1 is at seat 1 with 1410. seat 7 with 1670. seat 8 with 1975. quinnmob1: Kh Ac Pre-flop: 2 limp, I raise to 110 from Co-1 both call. Flop (board: 4c Kc Qh): 7 checks. 8 checks. quinnmob1 bets 190. 7 raises to 380. 8 re-raises to 1690. quinnmob1 goes all-in for 1300. 7 folds. 8 is returned 390 (uncalled). Tournament all-in showdown -- players show: quinnmob1 shows Kh Ac. 8 shows ?????? BTW I fold this in every tournament besides a 5$ 900 runner Friday night game on UB. I think adapting your game to the various levels of play you see can be very difficult, so what do you see as an honest range for this (possibly drunk 16 year old) player? |

Re: Welcome to low limit Friday night poker
there are people that will make that push with nothing but a cheap flush draw - if it's a low buyin tourney, odds are you're ahead -
but then that min. raise is a bit creepy too.. RB |

Re: Welcome to low limit Friday night poker
My gut told me KQ or a set.
I stopped mid fold and thought "wait a minute...This is KJ KT AQ as much as KQ or a set". It really is tough going from a 100$ to 5$ buy in. You have to turn off all conventional reads and just play TPTK like the nuts some times/ |
