[ QUOTE ]
Two questions: 1. Knowing full well that the player trailing me had no intention of raising, but b/c he was not paying attention put too much out... should I "angle shoot" here to get it declared a raise? [/ QUOTE ] no, that is not very cool at all. are you are a 62 year old, breakeven nit by any chance? [ QUOTE ] 2. When the action returns to me... is this an automatic cap or should you call... knowing full well you are going to have to hit your hand to win? I will share results later! [/ QUOTE ]cap without a thought. |

To everyone about the "angle shoot" angle:
I didn't insist on it being a raise... I just asked the dealer if it was in fact a raise since the player didn't announce a raise. To me it could be construed as angle shooting b/c I was 95% sure that the player did not intend to raise, which it may very well be. I think the definition of angle shooting is open to interuptation. Asking a quesiton to the dealer when you know what the answer should and will be about a player who isn't paying attention and puts too much in the pot... is that an angle shoot. I didn't force the dealer to make the ruling that she did... nor did I force the player to be involved in a conversation and not paying attention. Does simply taking advantage of a situation make it angle shooting?? Also, for what its worth I am not a 62 year old nit, who can barely breakeven in the game... but if you are... I would love to play you! |
