I heard that they serve alcohol for free on their international flights. Is this true?

Also, when I flew to Brazil a couple of years ago it was free. |

I flew to Paris a couple weeks ago (nonstop from Boston on American) and I needed to pay for drinks. |

I fly internationally every year or so (qantas or Air NZ) and it's usually free beer (in mini cans) and wine but pay for spirits.
They're quick to crack down though. |
