another hand vs the min 3bet guy
this guy is the same guy from my min 3bet hand. (summary of it: i open, he minraises, i call and check/fold the flop.)
it's the final table. payouts are standard party/empire - i think these are right: 1st 3k, 4th 960, 7th 535. this is the first time villain has limped in the ~150 hands i've played with him. Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t800 (7 handed) converter Hero (t19505) Button (t26812) SB (t6779) BB (t27842) UTG (t7479) MP1 (t6807) MP2 (t11776) Preflop: Hero is CO with K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. 2 folds, MP2 calls t800, Hero raises to t2500, 3 folds, MP2 raises to t10100, Hero ? |

Re: another hand vs the min 3bet guy
I think you call this. I'm thinking his min 3-bet business before probably was AA/KK, and thus I'm more likely to interpret this as something more TT-QQ, AKish - something where he doesn't quite want a call in the same way but doesn't mind getting one.

i'm just glad someone else runs into AA as much as i do
fold. you'll still be slightly above avg and ~22BB. still a good amt of room to play. villian likes to leave himself 1k behind in case you come over the top i guess. it sucks, but you should fold here too. |

Re: another hand vs the min 3bet guy
i dunno...you think he limps first in from MP2 w/ tt-qq? ak i can agree with.
the problem is, i'll have these hands, think "...i'm so beat here...", proceed to call because he *might* have ak/jj/qq, and end up losing to aa/kk. maybe i'm getting more weak-tight, but i think i need to start folding more in spots like this. |

Calls.
Edit - meh, with those stacks this is a bit closer than I like, but I still call. |

Re: another hand vs the min 3bet guy
thats true.
hero needs about 38% equity to make this call. it looks pretty close to me. it depends on how often villian would have aa, kk, qq-tt, and ak obviously. i'm still leaning towards fold, but i can see some merit in calling. |

Re: another hand vs the min 3bet guy
what do you think about limping behind here? there's a pretty good chance i'm getting limpRR'ed here, so i can avoid it with a limp. then if someone raises, i can fold if the first limper plays and limpRR myself if he doesn't.
if no one raises, i proceed with caution unless an A flops, in which case i'll get a-i. ugly? |
