don't check call, push outright. preserve folding equity. it's not like you're expecting to be ahead when you check call, right? you might actually get a hand that's better than yours to fold to a push.

Easy call. 12 outs to the nuts so you are getting pot odds. Also, you can afford to lose this and be in good shape, and SB is already out.

Look at the size of Hero and SB's stack. With less BB, it's probably a good idea, but it just seems excessive.
Still, betting out could be good here. |

Personally I don't want and FE here. I want all the chips in the middle, especialy against short stack. Is that wrong?

[/ QUOTE ] As an underdog with -Chip EV compared to taking a sizable pot down on the flop? Of course. Fold Equity is pot size * amount of times opponent will fold. As a concept, it just means, can you make this guy lay down a bunch of the time, and is the pot worth taking down like this? |

But you aren't much of an underdog, and have the chance to take him out. I'm not saying to always play a hand like this, just in this instance.
