Block bet NL100
Hero opens in CO with K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]Q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] for 4, SB and BB calls.Villian, BB, has 100 I cover.
Flop comes Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (POT 12) Checked to me and I make it 10. BB calls. Turn POT(~30) is an of suit 8 and vilian check calls 20. River is 10 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] and villian pushes, How bad did I do? Villian is unknown. Hero feels that there is to many draws to check turn. |

Re: Block bet NL100
your turn bet was fine, don't want to let him draw for free, his river bet could be a bluff on the missed flush draw, but it could also be a straight or two pair, etc. I think you have to fold this.
Was your plan to check behind on the river? |

Re: Block bet NL100
Looks well played to me IF you folded on the river. If the river was a blank, you were planning on checking behind right?

Re: Block bet NL100
I think you played it fine here. Vilian either caught two pair a straight or is bluffing. I would fold to the all in.

Re: Block bet NL100
I think that you played this hand fine, however I don't see how the 10 helps him. For that 10 to improve his hand to a straight, he would have to be holding K or 9, Either way, would he have called a $20 turn bet on a 4 outer? If he had 9 10, he more than likely would have raised you on the turn. My gut tells me that he was on a flush draw. If he had a set or two pair with 2 suited cards showing on the flop, I think that he would have raised. I'm also assuming that the villian has half of a brain in his head.

Part 2.
As someone said, I had a hard time putting him on something that could have been helped by a 10.
How short does he haft to be on river for you to call this, as the hand now was played it was ~65 to win ~135. |

Re: Block bet NL100
I think you played it fine. I think you're beat on the river almost always. If you're getting 4:1 maybe I'd call the river.

Re: Block bet NL100
that 10 helps him if he had AK...which isn't all that unlikely since it was multiway and he was in the blinds. I'll often just flat call a raise from the blinds with AK not wanting to play a monster pot out of position. My standard move is to either reraise huge, or flat call.
