You may think it is the wrong play, but results oriented is not a fair retort to someone who says this was a good laydown |

Re: Chad Brown: Worst Play Ever
[ QUOTE ]
What's with Bartley's A5o push over the top? Awful... [/ QUOTE ] I'm not going to make any judgements on the hand between H. Tran & Chad Brown because we may not be aware of previous hands that may have led Chad to believe he was ahead in that spot with a pair of tens. However, I really felt Bartley dropped the ball in the hand against H. Tran. He raised pre-flop with a weak ace (A-5o) and then has the chipleader come over the top of him with A-Qo. H. Tran has shown he's willing to gamble and after Bartley came back over the top, Tran was getting either close to or over 2-1 on his money (not exactly sure of the numbers). Tran is only a significant underdog to AA, KK, or AK in that spot. Maybe Bartley's move there works against one of the medium stacks at the table (Lindgren for ex.) who aren't willing to risk a significant portion of their stack on what at best is a possible coin-flip. He tried a risky play on the wrong person. Just my random thoughts. |

But hes been to 2 or 3 final tables at the WSOP, he cant be THAT bad. |

I'm not saying it wasn't a good laydown, I'm saying that ESPN doesn't give [censored] for information and you can't really tell how good or bad it is from a viewer's perspective. But I was getting a drink mid-hand so I won't elaborate |

Re: Chad Brown: Worst Play Ever
I think a worse play occurred on the very same hand when Lindgren kept slowplaying his JJ. There was a point where there was a lot of dead money and he just kept letting people take the lead until he eventually folded. Why not push or at least raise?
