If villian is aggresive, waiting until the river to raise is excellent. Against most opponents, I just raise the turn, but I think waiting til the river might be better in most cases.

Actually, I'd say if the villain is LAGgy, go to war on the turn. I have been surprised to see people overplaying hands like AQ, AT, KK etc in this situation.
