Re: River aggression
Flop bet ok. Turn bet ok if you think someone will fold a pair lower than jacks.
River is a very very standard check. No better hand will fold and no worse will call. You can't call a checkraise on the river, fold. |

Re: River aggression
I would check the flop through. With a diamond coming on the turn, I would call one bet to me to see if I catch the flush. UI on the river, I check/fold to a bet. I think you played your UI overcards too strong on this hand.
Yes, villian's play wasn't the greatest, but he must have had some kind of read on you to make that play. I see him calling the flop bet, as he does have outs to a straight or set. I'm not sure why he called the turn bet, except that he must have went with his gut and just either read you for overcards or his gut was telling him overcards - not sure. Anyway, enough rambling, I think you overplayed your hand. |

roughly, he has 21% vpip 11% preflop raise 2.2 aggression factor post flop (oddly, his river AF is larger than turn AF) 4bb/100 w$sd 57% [/ QUOTE ] Other than the river AF oddity, those look like the stats of a 2+2er. Why have you played 5k hands w/ this guy? Or is it datamining? You gotta check that river behind, buddy. |

Re: River aggression
Flop and turn are good. The river bluff is ok because you're probably beat, but your continual aggression may fold low pairs. Without reads, you should fold to the raise. Is he bluff-raising with K-high or A-rag? Probably not.

Re: River aggression
I bet on the river to push off mid- and underpairs. I was representing an overpair.
Once he raised I was ~50% sure he had nothing/very little (my meager read over him tells he usually bets his good hands prior to the river). I have 50k hands of my own +data mining in ptracker, 5k hands of him is not that big. By the way, just checked ptracker, I am winning our matchup with that villain. |

Re: River aggression
i think he puts OP on fewer hands since OP has tight image So the raise may not include AJ or TT
so I have him about 2:1 winner Is this completly wrong? |

forgot the main thing: he flipped over 6d 6h [/ QUOTE ] That's the exact opposite of the main thing. This is result-oriented thinking. |

[/ QUOTE ] You have four sentences, and I have four objections. That's a bad sign that you are all over the place in your reasoning. If mid-pair/underpair called the flop and the turn, why do you think he's going to fold on the river? How are you ~50% sure he had nothing/very little? Why ~50%? You called him a "fit-or-fold" player in another post. How do those things align to give you something worth playing? 5000 hands is plenty to have a sense of his stats, but it doesn't give you everything you need to know about him. You should get some real reads and not just stats. And "winning [your] matchup" is absolutely uninteresting and uninformative. |

Re: River aggression
if sb is tight, aggressive then he's not calling you on the river with anything you beat. check the river. fold when he raises, you're done.
I really don't know what you're talking about with the overcards. you have overcards, two of them. lastly, getting reads on someone really doesn't relate to how much time you take to act. |
