Couple pics I took from the 2005 WSOP
Went to the Rio on day 1c. Taking pictures were highly frowned upon, but I couldn't help trying. I got a decent pic of Matusow after a win. Zoom in on his facial expression...classic! Next, a VERY blurry pic of Ivey at his table. Lastly, a short video (froma digital camera, so not perfect quality) of Ivey's table. There is another pro on his left, but I can't ermember his name. Hope it is worth your time...I was just pretty excited to sit by those guy's tables and watch some nice all ins.

Very nice actually. Ivey should have went farther. A HUGE mistake on his part. Best player on earth IMO though. Oh well...

Re: Couple pics I took from the 2005 WSOP
Was flash photography permitted at the Rio? If so, you should of used it. Good composition but a flash would have made these pictures way sharper. But now that I think about it, it would be pretty awkward to be carrying a huge camera and flash set-up if you weren't a member of the press.

I attended the entire WSOP as a member of the media, but as it was my first time ever at a live event, I didn't realize flash wasn't allowed. I used flash the first couple days. But even though nobody stopped me, I became very uncomfortable using it because it seemed so intrusive and annoying. But with no flash, the pics sucked. So, my boss and I went out and bought a $1000 camera after a week or two and then the pics were great. I didn't see that non-media taking pictures were frowned upon. The problem would've been if a "normal" spectator crossed the ropes or was otherwise in the way. |

Pretty cool. Not sure if it was when you were busted, but it was about 10-11pm when the pic is taken.
