Re: Fold these Jacks preflop?
Yeah definitely. At best the reraiser has AK but he very likely has QQ-AA. Also you may be dealing with 3 overs including the shorter stack.

Re: Fold these Jacks preflop?
If he would do this with TT or AQ I think you have to call.
If not, easy fold. |

Re: Fold these Jacks preflop?
not fun, but i would fold. he could be squeezing with a hand that will hold up to shortie's pending all-in call. likely you're ahead vs. a AK, AQ (maybe even way ahead vs. 99-TT). always the chance you're a major dog too. you have a pretty clean exit here still holding a healthy stack. i wouldn't risk a possible race situation quite yet. |

Re: Fold these Jacks preflop?
JMO of course, but i wouldn't race if i new he had two overs. my original raise represented only 1/5 of my stack. had it left me with under T800-900ish, i'd gambe. his stack after folding is still plenty healthy. one uncontested pot in the next orbit or so and he gets his chip back. |

Re: Fold these Jacks preflop?
Folding the best hand with 1000 in the pot for 1400 more is really bad.

Folding the best hand with 1000 in the pot for 1400 more is really bad. [/ QUOTE ] But losing your whole stack to the other bigstack who has shown great strength by making a questionable call is worse. I think you should fold this too, unless you have a good read on the villain making this move with a wide range of hands. |

Re: Fold these Jacks preflop?
hard to argue that point how about these turn of events: hero is in the blinds w/JJ tilting shorty pushes villian pushes over the top all-in do you still call? i like to understand/learn that if your call in the OP is more swaded by his holdings or his committed chips... |

Re: Fold these Jacks preflop?
Any reason for the 3.5xBB raise?
