AQo and AJo question
What do you guys do with AQo and AJo in the first three positions (not counting blinds)? I generally toss em, unless I feel my raises are particularly feared or the table is very tight. Is that bad?

Re: AQo and AJo question
I raise AQ usually, sometimes limp, and fold AJ. I don't really play AJ at all, though. I'll open in LP once in a while, but that's it.

Re: AQo and AJo question
AQo I open preflop with a 3-5x bet in early position as if it's AA.
AJo varies table to table. Oftentimes will play it like AA. Your AQ play is probably considered very weak, and you should consider opening that up a little bit. Your AJ is understandable sorta. |

[/ QUOTE ] When you say you play AQo like AA, do you mean just on the flop, all streets, or what? My main problem with playing AQo in bad position is I seem to only ever win small pots, and have to try my damndest to avoid losing big ones. So I figure, if all I'm doing is raising pre and potting the flop hoping they fold, I might as well raise anything. Maybe I'm missing some post flop skills that make AQ profitable or I have the wrong image, the only bluffing I do is continuation bets. I have a tight image so it's hard to get hands that aq dominates to call pre, and even if they do its hard to extract a big pot from them. So I basically just gave up on raising AQo in ep, I only do it if I feel a continuation bet will work. |

Re: AQo and AJo question
toss AJo, raise AQo pretty much always from EP... the only exeption i can think of is if there's an out of line raise in front of you then toss AQ
