This move is not a new one, in that something like this was, if memory serves, in the original HPFAP. In my experience, this move used to work better than it does now, and it works better against less aggressive players.

Havent seen many of those lately. |

It's on p.123, and I'd say the situation I laid out is just about ideal conditions to pull this play. The bettor has a wide range of hands, the 3rd player in the pot is particularly likely to NOT have the key card, and it's perfectly reasonable that I DO have it. I think you'd be surprised at how many people have never considered this play though, despite it's being mentioned in HFAP. As you see in this thread, many people look at the flop call with utter disgust. Good luck. Eric |
