Yes, this was my thought. If he is on a spade draw, why would he try to clear out the field like that with a flop raise? Wouldn't he be better off calling and letting others in behind him for a nice payoff when he hits his flush.

I put him on a made hand already, and when he capped the flop, I thought it even more likely that he had two pair or a set as opposed to a flush draw.
