pair + flush draw
8/16 1/2 kill at Garden City
Really loose table Hijack likes to bet when people check to him, he raises subpar hands PF, and is too loose both with cards he plays and his calls..doesn't raise without the goods, though. CO is a prop who is a bit loose and a bit passive. Button knows what he should be raising preflop but plays too aggro postflop and is also too loose with the calling. Hijack open limps, CO limps, button raises, I call in the BB with 5 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], limpers call. (4 for 8SB) Flop is K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 3 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. What to do? |

Re: pair + flush draw
Given your reads, this seems like an easy check raise.

Re: pair + flush draw
agreed. definitely like the c-r here. only beware of the action, could get caught by a bigger flush if you see a lot of action in a pot like this with this board.

Re: pair + flush draw
after the two presumable calls and a raise, are we raising to protect our fives (offering about 7:1) or are we calling to pump the pot for our assumed 14 outs?

Re: pair + flush draw
Bet/3-bet would be my line here.

Re: pair + flush draw
Given that the 2 players to act after you don't raise w/o the goods I think a bet is in order.
