QUADS played horribly wrong
PP 25NL
I am dealth A2s late, 4 callers, so I call Flop 228 to spades, I check hoping it gets bet, but it checks around 6 handed... oh well Turn 2 WOW I GOT QUADS!!! this is when I screw up... I bet, in fear I will not go another round with out a bet going in the pot. I should have checked, and hoped a big card hits the river... and boats someone... DAWM... Everyone folds... Re: QUADS played horribly wrong
Bet the flop, even a minbet is better than nothing. You'll feel bad if someone makes turns a flush, or if the case 2 + weak kicker turns a boat. They might all fold, sure, but this is a nice looking flop for hands like 55 to call and no one's going to give a non-blind credit for a 2.

Re: QUADS played horribly wrong
So you're last to act, and you check, hoping that someone else will bet? wtf?

Re: QUADS played horribly wrong
That's just the way things go.
Many, many times you will get a monster hand and not get paid off. You think this is bad? How about me getting a Royal and making a profit of a grand total of 75 cents! |

Bet small on the flop or check until the river, but you already knew this.

Re: QUADS played horribly wrong
Agree. They either have something or they don't. If they do, they'll call most any reasonably sized bet. If they don't, they'll fold to any bet at all. So, make a reasonable bet (~pot) and hope they have something.
