Yawn...another overpair, but it\'s gnawing at me...
This is from memory. I was at the table because there were two REALLY bad players sitting. I had just lost a big hand with KK when I flopped a set on a K J X rainbow board and I got it all in with the worst of the two donkeys. He had a Q 10 and rivered a 9.
I 'nh'ed him and reloaded. The very next hand I get AA in the SB and make it 6 after every person besides one limps. UTG (who seems decent so far) is my only caller. He had me covered. The flop is J 5 3 rainbow. I bet the pot and he put me all in. I folded. Thoughts? BTW, I don't miss pokerstars but I sure do miss the 'time' clock. |

Re: Yawn...another overpair, but it\'s gnawing at me...
It was six max as a do a first time 'self bump'.
I think I should have called. I don't think villain has me on AA after KK and is protecting a medium pair. I think one of the biggest things to learn while moving up is not getting stacked off by sets with overpairs constantly. In this case, though, I really think villain would let me try and hang myself if he had a set or he would do that 'min raise' to agitate the overpair thingy. Oh well. |
